  1. Overall, poor, I had previously had a Panasonic and since I returned this

one bought another Panasonic even though it cost approx. $100 more, but

it was worth it, I can’t begin to tell all the problems I had and returned

it within 1 week, don’t do what I did and go for price.. its not worth

    the hassle.

  2. does a very good job but lost one star for no output through RF out to TV, video connections only even to old type TV used for Monitoring

  3. We purchased this DVR player and it was defective. OK, that can happen. But the seller would NOT pay return shipping charges. Their bad product = they’re replacing it without making the customer pay twice. And, the product could not be returned, only replaced.

  4. This is the most user UNFRIENDLY product that I have ever purchased.

I expected much better from Toshibi.

It is extremely annoying to tape using the VCR function and to watch the VCR tapes.

After taping it takes 5 or 6 steps to watch the VCR tape after it is completed.

There does not seem to have been any thought put into this product by the designers.

  5. I had this a few days and it seems to work very well for me, the pros would be ‘ease of operation 8 hours of good recording great for DVR-RW disk” cons would be ….thinking… I guess I will be getting a HTMI cable for the output to my HDTV… buy it….it is a good unit…Jim

    ADDED April 15th 2009…

The VCR does not work over the HTMI Digital cable… this is a serious design problem since a person has to keep choosing A/V on their TV to watch Video while using both the DVR and VHS dubbing, not the much better HTMI Digital input…
