Information describing this indicated that it may not work with the equipment that I wanted to control but I thought I would try it anyway because the cost was low enough to give it a try. It did not work and the return policy did not allow me to get a refund. I guess I wasted some money.

This receiver works perfect for me. I hung my 26″ Sony Bravia in the kitchen. I installed the FIOS HD STB QIP 7100 inside the closet behind the TV. I installed the eye in the bottom middle of my TV and ran the cable to the STB IR Input in the closet. The cable is long with plenty of slack left. It works great.

This product is being used with a Mediacom Pace HD DVR. It is exactly what we were looking for and were unable to find in any local stores, save yourself the time and trouble of going from store to store, shipping was immediate, the product arrived fast. Most importantly we are able to conceal the DVR box behind closed doors. We would recommend this product to anyone who has equipment that is listed as compatible to the product.

I have only had this item a short time and so I have not permanently mounted it nor have I extensively tested it. However, from initial testing, it appears to work as advertised with my Comcast HD STB (RNG 110 (Pace) with an “IR Receive” port). Price of the item is very reasonable and shipping was quick. The device also looks well-made. I would not have trouble recommending this item to anyone having compatible equipment.
