  1. I have had this card for a month now, and have yet to get it to work. The manufacturers name doesn’t appear on anything that came with the product, including the box it came in. The driver software doesn’t load. Using the model number, I found the manufacturers website (Sabrent) and using the info on the driver disc found the product listed there, only to find out that there are “no drivers for this item”. Buyer beware, there’s a reason it’s so cheap. Lesson learned.

  2. It’s products like this that make me wonder why 0 stars isn’t an option. I would be angry if I plugged it in and it just didn’t work, but it’s so much worse than that!

Software: There are two programs, one for managing the card, the other for remote management (through the internet). After over an hour of trying, I was finally able to get the remote management software installed, but not the local software. And even though the remote management software installed, it didn’t work. Well that’s not entirely true. It worked well enough to turn my two monitor (1440×900 and 1920×1200) computer into a single monitor (640480) machine. It would do this automatically on start up.

Hardware: The first time I booted up after putting this card in my machine, my USB keyboard and mouse stopped working and I could no longer read one of my 4 hard drives and one of my two DVD drives. Eventually, I got my computer to see the keyboard and mouse (it works about 1 out of every 3 boot ups). The moment I took the card out, everything started working fine again.

DO NOT BUY THIS CARD! IT IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE!

  3. Not bad, not great, just good. Works fine easy setup and fubulous price. What really caught my eye was the mention of a Conexant Fusion 878A chipset, my card came with the Philips SAA7130ML instead. The Sabrent TV/FM card I also purchased uses the SAA7130 and I never got video from it. So summation, this card works for the dollar.
